April is by far the wettest month of the year. Many roads may be locked due to the constant rainfall and the national parks are far calmer. However, this is a wonderful period to take benefit of discounted rates for hotels, safari lodges, Uganda safaris, and also on gorilla trekking permits bearing in mind it will be a wet season trip.

May is another rainy month across Uganda, although there isn’t completely as much rainfall as in April. Despite the weather in Uganda during this month, this can be a beautiful period to discover the surrounding regions.

Travelling To Uganda From June To August

June is one of the excellent periods to visit Uganda and it is the beginning of the peak season for luxury Uganda safaris. When it comes to booking a gorilla trek, we recommend that you book in advance mainly for permits, to avoid any unwanted hassles.

July is one of the ideal months for gorilla trekking and safaris in Uganda. The wildlife usually tends to gather around water bodies, making them more easy to spot in the national parks. This is not an excellent period of year for gorilla trekking, however, if you can have the chance of wet weather, you will surely save on lodging and different travel expenses.

During November the rain persists. The dry grasslands in Uganda turn a deep green due to all the thunderstorms, but there are fewer travellers this month because of less-than-perfect weather conditions.
